Jens Bogren Signature Drum Samples

Unleash the full potential of your drum mix, unlike anything you’ve experienced before

hat’s what you can expect when using my signature drum samples. A full array of power, precision, and dynamics will be an essential addition to your drum library and a professional upgrade to any mix you produce. These are no ordinary drum samples. Recorded and mixed to perfection, they are locked and loaded for hard-hitting action, ready out-of-the-box to be used on your next track. Jens Bogren, the prolific producer known for his powerful and natural drum sound, is now sharing his secret mixing weapon - drum samples. Through his 20 year career under the Fascination Street Studios banner, Jens worked with some of the world's top metal bands, including Sepultura, Kreator, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, Devin Townsend, Millencolin, Paradise Lost. It's no secret that drums are the most challenging instrument to get right. They can make or break a mix. With these tools at your disposal, there are no more excuses for bad sounding drums.

How are these drum samples different?

Jens Bogren: What really sets these drum samples apart is the fact that they have been battle tested in actual, world-class metal album mixes for more than two decades. I know they will work well in many different scenarios because I’ve been using them every day. These are not one-shots. I strongly believe in drum dynamics for natural sounding drums. In this pack, you will find that every sample has multiple velocity layers and round robins (multiple recordings at the same velocity/hardness). Avoid the dreaded machine-gun effect and let your drums come to life. Dynamic but consistent: it is possible to have it all! Use my pre-balanced room blend, or choose freely between the dry and wet signals to find the ambience level that fits your mix."
