Description

The Antelope Audio FET-A76 has a punchy and aggressive sound that is perfectly suited for drums and various percussive instruments. Its bright and smooth tone makes it a superb tool for treating vocals and other lead instruments. Its uncanny ability to achieve lightning-fast attack times gives it the upper hand when dealing with unruly transients. This makes the compressor a very versatile tool that will fit in any engineer’s arsenal.

History

First introduced in the 1960s, FET-A76 is our tribute to this piece of studio hardware, which achieved its legendary sound thanks to the introduction of the so-called FETs, the field-effect transistors, which are used to create very high-impedance circuits. This is exactly what gives the FET compressor its unique character. Our FET-A76 authentically captures every nuance of this highly sought-after unit.
