At the heart of Topos are two interactive Map Views — one for amps and one for speakers — that provide an intuitive, visual way to blend multiple models seamlessly. Instead of toggling presets, musicians navigate a continuous space of tonal possibilities, quickly crafting uniquely personal sounds. The saturation section features a diverse palette of sound based on beloved studio preamps, vintage tube amplifiers, tape machines, and distortion pedals, making Topos suitable for everything from subtle mixing tasks to dynamic, expressive sound design. For deeper creative exploration, each section includes a Designer View that reveals advanced controls typically hidden from the user. In the Amp section, this includes parameters such as Emphasis, Rectify, Smoothing, and more — allowing for precise shaping of the saturation’s character and response.

Full Spatial Control

Topos goes beyond traditional tone shaping by allowing musicians to sculpt the perceived size and spatial presence of their sound. It uses physical modeling to simulate how various speaker designs influence the character and projection of the audio. This makes it possible to shape not just how something sounds but also how big or present it feels in a mix. The Speaker Map lets users explore and smoothly blend various speaker models, surpassing traditional cabinet simulations. For meticulous sound crafting, the Speaker Designer includes adjustable parameters such as speaker size, internal reflection, venting, scatter, leak, and damping, enabling musicians to precisely tailor the speaker’s characteristics to their creative vision.

Tone In, Character Out

Topos provides versatile signal-shaping tools at both the input and output stages, maximizing creative flexibility. The Input Filter offers a low/high-pass filtering with adjustable slopes, letting users tailor the tonal range before amplification. At the output stage, Flux and Dynamics controls enable detailed refinement of signal evolution, from tightening transients to subtly smoothing peaks — reducing the need for additional external processing.
