Let’s be honest. If you hire someone like Bill Stewart or Brian Blade to lay down your Jazz tracks in a high-end recording studio, you’ll achieve the best results. But, for one reason or another, that may be closer to fantasy than reality. Your music and your ideas can’t wait for the stars to align, and we have a wonderful, sampled Jazz drumset to help turn them into reality.

Drum tuning is critical to getting a good jazz tone. The skins here are wound high, carefully tuned to resonate, and gently treated to make them fit nicely into a mix. The kick uses full natural-style skins without modest damping, played “beater-off.” The sampled cymbals offer a smokey vibe reminiscent of vintage cymbals from the ’50s. The ride gives a beautiful harmonic wash that will bring life and air to your songs. The result is a dynamic Jazz kit with loads of finesse and nuance ideal for Jazz styles or any genre where subtlety is key.
