Its dual-stage distortion engine is complemented by a dynamic filter/EQ section that includes a 2-pole resonant high-pass filter and a 4-pole transistor ladder low-pass filter capable of generating Moog-style resonance feedback at high settings, a behavior typically found in modular synths, rarely in distortion-focused plugins. What sets Rave Distortion apart is its precise control structure inspired by analog EQs and consoles. The low-mid and high-mid peak filters feature variable bandwidth modeled after American and German 8-bus consoles, offering surgical tone shaping alongside expressive harmonic coloration.
