Pick Pocket converts drum audio into MIDI while keeping the human timing and dynamics intact. It detects each hit, sorts it into kick, snare and hi-hat, and records its exact placement and velocity without quantizing. The result is a MIDI performance that grooves like the original player but can trigger any drum instrument.
Pick Pocket measures swing, push and drag, and overall tightness so users can see what makes a groove work. A built-in editor allows hits to be reassigned, velocities reshaped, timing adjusted and steps muted, with full note-level MIDI editing. An audition engine plays the extracted MIDI through a drum kit alongside the source audio, which makes it easy to confirm the feel has carried over.
Audio can be captured directly from a DAW track with automatic loop detection, or loaded from files. MIDI exports unquantized and pre-mapped for Superior Drummer/EZdrummer, BFD3, SSD5, Addictive Drums 2 and General MIDI, or as an Ableton groove file. Activation is one-time and works offline.
